Whether it concerns a performance improvement plan (PIP), a difference of opinion within the board or an unsafe working environment: employees are often insufficiently aware of the protection offered by Dutch, European and international employment law.
During my years as a lawyer in Amsterdam's Zuidas business district, I worked almost exclusively for large national and international employers and liaised directly with HR, management and shareholders. That experience has given me a great deal of insight into the underlying interests that can come into play – from individual dismissal cases to large-scale reorganisations. As an independent lawyer, I use this knowledge in a targeted manner during negotiations with those same key figures on a wide range of issues – from sick leave to settlement agreements, from discrimination to summary dismissal, from inappropriate behaviour to the settlement of shares.
Employees appreciate my strategic advice, strong negotiation skills and personal dedication.

In my role as an employer's lawyer, I advise HR business partners, management boards and shareholders on the full spectrum of employment law.
At the start of my career, I worked within top-tier practices in Employment & Pensions and Corporate & Commercial Litigation. From those disciplines, I advised and litigated for large and medium-sized (inter)national companies on a wide range of issues at the intersection of employment law and corporate law. This background gives me a keen eye for the underlying forces at play between shareholders, directors, supervisory directors, works councils and employees. As an independent employment lawyer, I use this Big Law expertise to assist Dutch and foreign companies, from startups to multinationals.
Employers value me for my legal knowledge, creative solutions and availability.

As an interim senior lawyer, I enjoy working on assignment for leading law firms listed in the Legal 500 and Chamber & Lawyers. Thanks to my experience with both large and smaller boutique firms, I am versatile and can be deployed in a wide range of practices. I support teams when they are short-staffed or lack seniority, and I act on behalf of lawyer partners.
In addition to the quality of my work, my commitment is appreciated for my flexibility and – not insignificant – pleasant collaboration.
